Harassment means any conduct which is unwanted or offensive to an individual from another party. It may relate to gender, sexual orientation, marital status, age, race, colour, nationality, ethnic origin, religion, or disability.

Harassment also relates to behaviour that can cause you or your colleagues to feel threatened, humiliated and/or undermined within the workplace, such as being ignored by colleagues or constantly being subjected to bullying.

It is for individuals to determine what behaviour is acceptable to them and what they regard as offensive. All employees should be careful about what they say and do. Even if you believe that your conduct is not offensive, the recipient may find it offensive, and it can therefore be viewed as harassment.
